When you join The Canadian Art Therapy Association you will receive an electronic membership card, access to an on-line membership directory, a tri-annual newsletter, the bi-annual C.A.T.A. Journal, reduced fees to C.A.T.A. conferences and workshops, and for professional and registered members, access to liability insurance. CATA Standards of Practice will apply to all members.
Types of Membership
Registered Membership: [Application Form]- Art Therapists who have R.C.A.T. or equivalent
- Annual dues: $105
- Eligible to vote, hold office and to serve on committees
- Art Therapists who have completed their professional post-graduate training and are active in the field
- Annual dues: $80
- Eligible to vote, hold office and to serve on committees
- Interested professionals in the fields of mental health, education and social services who wish to contribute to the use of Art Therapy
- Annual dues: $50
- Eligible to serve on committees
- Students enrolled in a Canadian Graduate Art Therapy Program
- Annual dues: $25
N.B. Registered, Professional and Student applications must be accompanied by proof of Art Therapy registration/ education/ student status.
Upon receipt of a completed application and your membership payment, you will receive a membership card. In the case of Registered memberships, you will receive an additional application package for supplementary information.
Past CATA members who have let their memberships lapse for more than two years will have to re-submit copies of all required documents.
