The objectives of the Canadian Art Therapy Association are to encourage and sponsor activities which enhance the progressive development of professional standards of art therapy practice, training, research, publications and conferences, and to increase awareness of art therapy as an important mental health discipline in Canada.
The Canadian Art Therapy Association Journal (ISSN 0832-2473) is a scholarly journal published biannually by the Association and is distributed free to all members. The subscription rate to the CATA Journal for non-members is $30 in Canada, $35 in the U.S.A., and $40 in the rest of the World.

THE CANADIAN ART THERAPY ASSOCIATION JOURNAL INVITES FRENCH SPEAKING AUTHORS TO SUBMIT MANUSCRIPTS
CATAJ would like to include French Speaking authors' articles in Canada's only scholarly art therapy journal. Articles in French can be submitted to:

CATAJ will conduct a preliminary review to determine whether the manuscript has potential to be included in the journal. If so, CATAJ will provide the same review process as with any manuscript submitted for review. This may result in required changes, suggestions for improvement, etc. When / if the manuscript is accepted for publication, CATAJ will provide translation services free of charge to the author and print the French version and an English version in the journal.
